Specialized Health is a Family Chiropractic Care center located in Adel, Iowa. A neighboring city to Grimes, our chiropractors specialize in pediatric care, wellness care, preconception and fertility care. We treat people as young as a few days old and stay with them until adulthood. Pediatric Care
The first stressors on us as humans happen as infants. From childbirth our children can go through immediate trauma. In 2015 a study was conducted that showed us how important it is for infants to get checked by a chiropractor, even seemingly healthy infants. The study, “Incidence of Somatic Dysfunction in Healthy Newborns” took a look at the likelihood that a newborn will have stress in their nervous system and spine.
The doctors examined the spines of 100 healthy newborns, 51 males, and 49 females, all about 6 hours old. The study found that 99 out of 100 (99%) of newborns examined, had at least one somatic dysfunction. That is why pediatric care is so important and the team at Specialized Health Chiropractic has the experience to help!
