Dr. Bryce

Dr. Bryce originally hails from Waukee Iowa, and loves this area of Iowa. He still remembers coming to Adel frequently for sporting events and even remembers getting his drivers permit at the courthouse. Throughout Dr. Bryce’s childhood he played lots of sports including ice hockey, which meant frequent sports related injuries. Luckily Dr. Bryce knew of a chiropractor in the area that was able to help him recover from his current injuries and avoid future injuries. He was always fascinated with how someone could help people like that with just their hands!

Dr. Bryce attended school at the University of Northern Iowa initially for a business degree, but realized during his sophomore year that was not the path for him and decided to visit Palmer College of Chiropractic to see what this profession was all about. He was immediately hooked and changed his major the next day to begin his journey toward being a Chiropractor.

Being from Iowa, Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport was an easy choice. Since graduating Dr. Bryce has learned his passion for taking care of families and is looking forward to moving back home and helping the community grow.

Dr. Bryce’s Passion and Expertise

Dr. Bryce is Webster Certified for prenatal care, as well as trained in advanced perinatal care by the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). She has completed over 200 hours in pediatric education through the ICPA, another 200 hours of training and a prestigious certification in Pediatric and Family Chiropractic Care from The Pediatric Experience and Life University.

His passion is helping kids who struggle with Neurodevelopmental Disorders (NDD) like ADHD, Sensory Processing issues, Autism, and Anxiety. His personal experience staying at the forefront of every interaction.

Growing up, he always struggled with school – every year barely skating by in at least one class with no consistency in which class. It wasn’t until he was older, in high school when the Cs and Ds increased, that he told his struggles and frustrations to his family doctor. He was formally diagnosed with ADHD and quickly put on a pretty high dose of a common stimulant medication. His focus improved, but he had side effects. He felt grey – just “meh”. His personality became less and less, and he became more and more dependent on the mediation. After 8 years reliant on it, he decided in the middle of chiropractic school, no longer naive to the effects of the meds, that he didn’t want to take them anymore. Thus began the deep dive into neurology, the autonomic nervous system, the vagus nerve, and all things ADHD!

Dr. Bryce’s superpower is connecting with kids about their struggles and what they feel! He’s helped so many kids become more self-aware, and helped parents understand what their child’s nervous system is perceiving and how to better support them!

Outside the Office

Dr. Bryce is still a competitive ice hockey player. A former Des Moines Oak Leaf, and played the sport since he was in grade school, he still makes it a priority to get on the ice at least once a week! He’s active at the Waukee YMCA, using physical activity, both on the ice and in the gym, to help support his excess energy and “hyperactivity”. He’s a car guy – one of the few 30 somethings who drive a manual – and during the fair weather months, you can find him bringing Dr. Taylor and Charlotte to Cars & Coffee meetups for some high octane nerding out!
